Results of the calculations used for the analysis presented in the paper "The impact of the FMR and starburst galaxies on the (low-metallicity) cosmic star formation history" by Chruslinska, M., Nelemans, G., Boco, L., Lapi. A, 2021, MNRAS (2021)

If you use this data in your research please reference the above paper.

The values in each file correspond to stellar mass density (comoving; Msun/Mpc^3) formed in a given 12+log(O/H) (columns) bin and between two redshifts (rows). The enclosed python script plot_SFRD_Z_z.py can be used to visualize the data. The attached Time_redshift_deltaT.dat is required to run the python script.

File names follow the scheme given below:
[X][Y][Z]f14SB[SB_implementation]_FMR[nablaFMR0]_FOH_z_dM.dat
where the expressions within "[]" specify the model variation.

X,Y and Z specify the SFMR, GSMF and MZR variation.
X specifies the choice of the high mass part of the SFMR:
    X=1 : moderate flattening (following Speagle+14)
    X=2 : sharp flattening
    X=3 : no flattening

Y specifies the choice of the low mass end of the GSMF:
    Y=0 : alpha_fix = -1.45
    Y=1 : alpha_fix = alpha_fix(z)

Z specifies the choice of the z~0 MZR:
    Z=2 : KK04a
    Z=4 : PP04
    Z=6 : KK04b
    Z=7 : S20

SB_implementation specifies the description of the starburst galaxies (straburst fraction and the starburst sequence).
    SB_implementation=Boco : the properties of starbursts are based on the studies of Sargent+12/Bethermin+12, as used in Boco+21.
    SB_implementation=BiC : the properties of starbursts are based on the studies of Bisigello+18 and Caputi+17

nablaFMR0 specifies the value of the parameter nabla_FMR0, describing the strength of the SFR-metallicity correlation in the high SFR, low mass regime.
Three values of the parameter are explored in the paper:
    nablaFMR0 = 170 -> nabla_FMR0=0.17 dex
    nablaFMR0 = 270 -> nabla_FMR0=0.27 dex (fiducial choice)
    nablaFMR0 = 300 -> nabla_FMR0=0.3 dex

example: file 204f14SBBiC_FMR270_FOH_z_dM.dat corresponds to the model variation with PP04 z~0 MZR, SFMR with sharp flattening at high masses, non-evolving low mass end of the GSMF, starburst implementation following Bisigello+18 and Caputi+17 and nabla_FMR0=0.27

Files containg results for the model variation with SFR-dependent strength of the SFR-metallicity correlation (discussed in the appendix C) are named as follows:

[X][Y][Z]f14SB[SB_implementation]_FMR[nablaFMR0]_varN_-2_[logSFRnabla0]_FOH_z_dM.dat

where logSFRnabla is the log10(SFR) threshold above which FMR slope is fixed (either 0 or 1)
