This directory is a publicly accesible web location made for use with the UCSC genome browser. The only files you should place here should be A COPY of the trackhub you want to visualise. As disk space is limited, this directory is not meant to host more than ~2GB of files per person and files should only be place here TEMPORARILY. This service is meant for employees and students of the departments Molecular Biology and Molecular Developmental biology. Note that the directory "/vol/ftp/pub/GenomeBrowser/" can be accessed directly from both the lilo and mbscourse servers. You can connect to the directory on a windows machine via This PC -> Map Network Drive -> \\ftp.science.ru.nl\ftp\pub In order to be able to write to this directory your science account needs to be added to the "genomebrowser" group. This can be by owners of the "genomebrowser" group via the web portal at http://dhz.science.ru.nl/ -> group -> edit group. Owners include: Simon van Heeringen Maria van den Goor Documentation on creating trackhubs can be found at https://genome.ucsc.edu/goldenPath/help/hgTrackHubHelp.html.
